Ebbtide Release Date: No Date Announced as of October 2026
The store page is live, the wishlist count is growing, and there is still no date. This is the evidence, not a prediction.
Last updated:
Last checked: 22 October 2026. Ebbtide does not have a release date. Not an approximate one, not a window, not a year — the Steam store page's date field literally reads "Coming soon", and the API flag coming_soon is true.
No release date has been announced. Steam returns coming_soon: true and the date field reads 'Coming soon'.
- Store page is live and healthy — the game is not delisted
- Price is unset, reviews are zero, achievements are zero
- 15,000+ wishlists per the developer's 21 Oct 2026 post
- Final system requirements promised before release, not yet published
Doesn't apply when: This page describes one moment. If you are reading it more than a few weeks after the date above, re-run the check below rather than trusting the text.
What the official data actually says
The Steam storefront API is the only source that matters here, because it is the same data the Steam client renders. On 22 October 2026 it returned:
| Field | Value | What it means |
|---|---|---|
success | true | App is live; not delisted, not region-blocked |
name | Ebbtide | Title intact, not a placeholder |
type | game | This is the game, not a demo or DLC entry |
release_date.coming_soon | true | No release date set |
release_date.date | Coming soon | Literal string, not a parsed date |
price_overview | null | No price set |
recommendations | null | No reviews possible yet |
metacritic | null | No critic score |

Why "no date" is different from "delayed"
These get conflated constantly. A delay means a date existed and moved. Ebbtide has never had a date to move. ProjectAlive opened the store page on 20 October 2026 with coming_soon already set and has not revised it since.
If you see a site quoting a specific launch date for Ebbtide — a month, a quarter, "early 2027" — that site generated it. There is nothing behind it. We have not found a single official statement containing a date.
What has actually happened so far
The verifiable timeline is short, which is itself useful information.
| Date | Event | Source |
|---|---|---|
| 20 Oct 2026 | Steam store page goes public; gameplay trailer posted | Steam page |
| 20–21 Oct 2026 | Trade press picks it up (3DM, 4Gamer, Game Spark, GameDB) | Press coverage |
| 21 Oct 2026 | Developer posts "15,000 wishlists. Thank you!" | Steam announcement |

The wishlist number
The 15,000 figure comes from ProjectAlive's own Steam announcement on 21 October 2026, titled "15,000 wishlists. Thank you!" That is a first-party number and we treat it as confirmed.
It is also the single most useful signal available right now. Wishlist velocity, not follower counts or third-party estimates, is what tells you whether an unreleased game has an audience. Third-party trackers currently under-report this game badly — one aggregator we checked listed a single follower, which contradicts the developer's own post. When a third-party number and a first-party post disagree about the same game on the same day, the developer wins.
The devlog series nobody has indexed
ProjectAlive's YouTube channel has published a run of short technical devlogs alongside the main trailer. Each one demonstrates a specific system, and together they are the closest thing to gameplay documentation that exists pre-release.
| Video | System demonstrated |
|---|---|
| Ebbtide — Official Steam Trailer | Zombie Survival RTS | Overview |
| From the LA Operations Map to the Battlefield | Map-to-battlefield transition |
| Scaling Up Helicopter Operations | Helicopter logistics at scale |
| Helicopter Update: Rotor Wash, Troop Transport & Rappelling | Transport and rappelling |
| AH-6M Little Bird & Flight Deck Takeoffs | Light attack helicopters, carrier deck |
| Fighters Launch, Strike the Horde, and Return | Carrier air operations |
| Fighter Strikes, Building Destruction & Carrier Operations | Structural destruction |
This list is the part of the page you will not find elsewhere. Nobody covering Ebbtide has assembled the devlog run, and each video is direct evidence of a mechanic the store page only describes in text.
How we check, so you can check too
We do not want you to take this page on faith. The check is one HTTP request and it takes a second.
curl -s "https://store.steampowered.com/api/appdetails?appids=4915700&cc=us&l=en" \
| python3 -c "import sys,json;d=json.load(sys.stdin)['4915700']['data'];print(d['release_date'])"
You will get one of three shapes back:
| Response | Meaning | What we would do |
|---|---|---|
{'coming_soon': True, 'date': 'Coming soon'} | Unchanged | Nothing. Page stays as is. |
{'coming_soon': True, 'date': 'Q1 2027'} | A window was announced | Rewrite this page the same day |
{'coming_soon': False, 'date': '5 Nov 2026'} | Released or dated | Rewrite, add price, start real guides |
The third row is the one that matters. The moment coming_soon flips to false, everything on this site that says "unreleased" becomes wrong. That is a same-day fix, not a next-week fix.
What we will not do
We will not publish a predicted release date. Not "likely 2027", not "expected after the summer showcase". A guess dressed as reporting is the fastest way to lose a reader who comes back in three months and finds out we made it up.
We also will not treat wishlist milestones as release signals. 15,000 wishlists means people are interested. It does not mean the game is close.
Frequently asked questions
When is the Ebbtide release date?
It has not been announced. As of 22 October 2026 the Steam API returns coming_soon: true with the date field set to the literal string "Coming soon". ProjectAlive has not published a date, a window or a year.
Has Ebbtide been delayed?
No, and that framing is misleading. A delay requires a prior date. Ebbtide has never had one, so there is nothing that could have slipped.
Is Ebbtide cancelled?
There is no evidence of that. The store page is live and returning success, the developer is posting wishlist milestones, and the YouTube channel is publishing technical devlogs. A cancelled game does not usually keep shipping helicopter logistics videos.
How many wishlists does Ebbtide have?
15,000+ as of the developer's own Steam announcement on 21 October 2026. That is a first-party figure. Third-party tracker estimates for this game are currently unreliable and we do not quote them as fact.
Will there be a demo?
No demo has been announced. The Steam entry lists no demo App ID, and the store page has no demo section. If one appears it will have its own App ID, which matters because demo specs and demo content differ from the full game.
What platform is Ebbtide coming to?
Steam, for Windows and macOS. Linux is not supported. No console version has been announced.
What to read next
A release-date check usually means one of five follow-up questions. Each has a page here:
- Is this the right Ebbtide? — three entities share the name; this is the ten-second check
- System requirements — four lines confirmed, six still marked To Be Announced
- Core mechanics — what the game will actually ask of you, system by system
- The arsenal — 38 named units, aircraft and structures, with zero published stats
- Ebbtide vs They Are Billions — the comparison most people are already making
If what you actually wanted was a walkthrough: none exists, and we explain why we will not fake one.
